Over 150 Jawa & Yezdi bikers to converge at Munnar for the 4th Southern Raid

The Bangalore Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle Club (BJYMC) along with its sister clubs across South India will get together to showcase their love and passion for their classic Jawa and Yezdi bikes at Southern Raid 4. Over 150 passionate bikers from across 7 South Indian cities will ride to Munnar, a popular hill station in Kerala on the 12th of October for this 2 day annual event.
Southern Raid with BJYMC & Roaring Riders, Chennai

Southern Raid, the annual get-together of Jawa Yezdi bike clubs in South India is in its fourth consecutive year. 2012 will witness participation from 7 city clubs Bangalore, Chennai, Mysore, Trivandrum, Cochin, Coimbatore and Kanyakumari. Bangalore being the hosts this year will have the largest contingent of over 50 bikers. Bikers will spend two days interacting with each other, share knowledge and bond over their machines before riding back to their destinations.

To showcase the comfort and reliability of the once popular Jawa and Yezdi bikes, BJYMC bikers will journey a distance of 480 kms across Tamil Nadu and Kerala to reach their destination - Munnar. The team will cover this distance in about 11 - 12 hours with adequate breaks for both riders and their machines. All bikes are aged between 16 – 32 years and still run like they used to during their heydays.

“Each year, we look forward to meeting fellow bikers from different cities and Southern Raid gives us a platform to meet & interact with our community of bikes from South India. What started as a casual ride for two city clubs (Bangalore & Chennai in 2009) has today grown to a national event with over 7 city clubs joining in” said Lokesh JM, Co-founder of BJYMC.

To register, bikers can call Lokesh JM – 9880033994 or Sam – 9611678845 for more details or can visit our Facebook group – Bangalore Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle Club

And we are back again for the 5th consecutive time and this time its a little different.

Yes, having grown in numbers over the years, we wanted to bring in the 10th year celebrations on an unusual note.

So we decided to ride out of the city and have our own get-together on the 8th of July 2012. This simple little affair will involve meeting up in the city and riding in small groups towards Tumkur. Our location is Shiva's Farm which is about 2 kms from Shivaganga town.

All interested Jawa and Yezdi bike owners are requested to register immediately with either of the following members. Registration fee is Rs 220/- for a bike with rider and Rs 370/- for rider and pillion.
